New Year, New Adventures Been working on still greening my life or maybe a better way of looking at my journey is applying 'minimalist' instead of 'greening'. That old saying 'Less Is More' is absolutely true. We don't need all that stuff but some of it is useful and some of it has sentimental value - some is good. As I've become closer to minimalizing my belongings, I've also become very aware that I've learned more from the doggos than I have from any recovery book and I have a stack of those on my bookshelf or table next to the couch; wherever I currently have pondered and put pen to paper most recently about daily ramblings. Working on a third attempt towards a professional certification to boost my degree from years ago this winter along with taking the state certification process for helping others in recovery. So I more or less finished most of the Green Cooking Cookbook since a lot of it was for how to green your house and make your kitchen more efficient, better cookware, etc. I'm at the end of the book but started reading a new book that came in from the library, Gluten Free Girl , and it is really interesting. I just got it yesterday and actually read three chapters (52 pages) before going to bed last night! That is like a micracle since way out of character for me :-). It got me thinking though, is there really stuff in the food I eat, even if it's healthy, that I should be careful of?? There was a book recommended in there called The Gluten Connection that apparently talks more in depth about different health disorders that gluten contruibutes too. So I'm going to order that too and have a peek.
